About me

My name is Rob Curry and I'm a web designer based in Southampton in the UK. I started climbing at the age of 14 and have climbed on and off ever since. I've travelled around the world rock climbing, mountaineering and trekking with my wife Paula and love the exhilaration of being in high places.

You can read my profile on UK Climbing.com

This site was built after I spent several hours scouring the Web for suppliers of kids rock climbing gear for my nine year old son who started climbing at the Calshot climbing wall near Southampton, UK in 2006. I soon found that there didn't seem to be a central resource for finding gear, simple technique guides and other useful resources for youngsters just learning to climb.

The Favourites list I started building forms the basis of the Kids Gear links resource you can see on this site, then I just went on from there!

I began creating this site on the 12th November 2006, so please come back from time to time to see how I'm getting on and also maybe contribute your hard-found resources so that everyone can benefit. You can now add your comments in the new Guestbook. Loads of thanks to all the climbers who have already helped out.

Thanks for visiting and see you back soon.

Happy climbing!
