Not strictly a news story, but amazing anyway and certainly newsworthy, Jon of Cercedilla, Spain, has been climbing serious mountains since the age of 3!

Tallest climbing frame in the West Midlands is unveiled in Walsall

A 25ft tall climbing tower, believed to be the tallest in the West Midlands, has been unveiled in Walsall and has been touring the borough over the summer.

World Youth Climbing Championships 2010
The Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, Ratho has been awarded the 2010 UIAA-ICC World Youth Climbing Championships. The event will be organised by Edinburgh Leisure in partnership with the British Mountaineering Council , the Mountaineering Council of Scotland , Event Scotland and the City of Edinburgh Council .

BMC Youth Climbing Series Final 2009
The BMC Youth Climbing Series Final took place at the Westway, London on Saturday 20th June.
With 186 competitors and the assembled throng of eager parents and spectators, the Westway was packed to the rafters on Saturday, for what was to be an action-packed day of climbing competiton.
