Kids Climbing
The site for UK Kids Climbing information

Climbing hold from Beacon Climbing Ltd

Disclaimer

This site is not run by a climbing expert, but I do try to help other parents/carers to get the best online information available to support their climbing children.

Climbing and scrambling can be great fun, but can also be dangerous activities. Neither this site nor anyone involved in it seeks to encourage anyone to climb or scramble. If you are a parent, and your child is interested in climbing, it is essential that you enrol your child onto a recognised course that can comprehensively teach your child to climb safely, even if you climb yourself.

Climbing equipment is used to ensure that the climber/belayer is kept as safe as possible in what can be a hazardous sport. It is not possible to make any activity completely safe, but it is possible to make the maximum effort to ensure that it is undertaken in as safe a manner as possible. Do not take short cuts to safety and you and your child can enjoy this excellent sport for years to come.

Kids Climbing is not responsible for the content of any other web site. If you wish to act on any information you receive from any other site, this will be at your own risk and at your own responsibility. Kids Climbing does not condone or encourage any dangerous, reckless or foolhardy action. Please ensure that you undertake the activities of climbing and scrambling in a sensible and safe manner.

British Mountaineering Club (BMC) participation statement: "The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement."
